You CANNOT write any new business in that Non-Resident State until you are properly registered with that state, got your NR license, update your profile in WFG system, and got your provider appointment done!
Go to mywfg.com> Menu> Licensing and Appointment > Licensing >State Licensing Information. Each State may have different license application procedure and annuity education requirements.
Click on each state to obtain the non-resident License

Non-Resident Provider Appointment
For Transamerica/Nationwide/Pacific Life, the non-resident appointment is done electronically.
On mywfg.com, select below menu:
For Nationwide, select the state you want to make appointment:
For Transamerica, Select Non-Resident option, then select State:
For Crump providers, e.g. Athene, except for the State of Pennsylvaina, you only need to have appointment in your resident state (CA), no need to make non-resident appointment.
